Rules of Photo Composition

Photo composition refers to the position of relative subjects in an image, this could mean many things such as, how close things are to each other, patterns, symmetry, etc. To guide you to good photo composition, these 8 rules/aspects are taken into account, rule of thirds, balancing elements, leading lines, symmetry/pattern, viewpoint, background depth, framing, cropping. For example, the image below appeals to the symmetry as the main subject of the image lays in the middle with identical left and right sides. While it might not appeals to the rule of thirds, it still has good composition if other rules are existent.
