Framing Your Image

Framing your image is the process of taking into account the "extra things" in your photo. For me I, framing your image is the ability to add more or a different meaning to a simple image. To do this you take into account context, depth, and leading lines. In a way, you take the image to another level of literal, make it tell a story.

The image above is of a mid section of a tree. The thing I took into account was, you can only see the trunk of the tree. The shadow of the tree reveals the entire top part of the tree.

The image above is of a truck driving down a road. The significant thing about this is the signs meaning and the truck going to that area.

The image above is of a person who is staring off into the distance,

The image above is of a person sitting on the bench waiting for the bus.
